    The following are some Asian Related Pieces I produced for the Why Files, our local skeptics group newsletter.

    I have done some writing on Asian history and culture aimed at a popular audience. One result of this was Tongs, Gangs, and Triads -Chinese Crime Groups in North America.


    But there was much work done on a pair of books that never saw print.

    The first of these was tentatively called Beyond Chinese Mysticism. It was intended to be a book-length, skeptical critique of the traditional arts, sciences and mystical beliefs of Chinese civilization, past and present. Parts of this saw print in the Skeptical Inquirer article on Chi. This is linked below. Another portion is produced below for the first time in the article on the Chinese Five Element theory.

    Another project that never saw print was Chinese Secret Societies -A History of a Misunderstood Tradition
